Proton City Tanjung Malim: Self Sustaining, Eco, Intelligent, Integrated

When people says Proton City, it comes to mind that big 14 plus years old of biggest Proton cars factory complex 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, the birthplace of Proton Preve and Proton Preve 2, lines of 200 robots doing 60% of the two shift job turning 4600 tonnes of metal into Proton vehicle parts with maximum capacity of 500,000 units/ year.



But Proton City is not just about making a chassis in 20 minutes time, 400 cars per day. DRB-Hicom and Glenmarie already transforming in the long process of building up these huge industrial land of Proton City into livable self-sustaining eco sensitive intelligent city. Completion year 2025, population of about 240,000 people and has a GDV of RM6.9bil

4000 hectares integrated township being built in Proton City, consist of eco-residential, commercial eg: Mydin, institutional eg: police station, mosque and Pos Malaysia, industrial parcels that are growing up around seven alluring lakes, a state-of-the-art Proton Malaysia Plant. And.. Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), yes! Proton City also produce school teachers now with active fleet of city bus shuttle between Tanjung Malim to UPSI to Proton Factory.
