Mohd Faiz Subri Swerving Free Kick Won FIFA Puskas Award 2016

Mohd Faiz Subri, the very first Malaysian striker to be nominated, and won, since 2009, the Best FIFA Puskás Award 2016. Faiz Subri's wonder swerving free kicks hailed as the best goal of the year, voted by fans from all over the world on FIFA.com.



The award winning free kicks is so confusing yet beautiful, the left to right swerve is so wicked that left goalkeeper Mohd Nasril Nourdin stood no change, gave Mohd Faiz Subri his year 2016 "world most aesthetically significant, most beautiful, goal scoring moment of the year," goal points in the Malaysian Super League on February 2016, Penang vs Pahang.

Mohd Faiz Subri earned the Malaysian forward the 2016 FIFA Puskás Award, 2nd by Brazilian Marlone and 3rd by Venezuelan Daniuska Rodriquez. Mohd Faiz Subri now stood among the latest footballer to collect the award after the biggest names in football, Cristiano Ronaldo (2009), Hamit Altintop (2010), Neymar (2011), Miroslav Stoch (2012), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2013), James Rodriguez (2014) and Wendell Lira (2015).
