Masjid Negara, probably the most visited Mosque in Malaysia. Masjid Negara was built on the earliest days (1965) after Malaysian succeed to secure independence in 1987. The first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman asked the architect to built the modest mosque right on the hill that center Kuala Lumpur as a city, and to show kind of gratitude. However, Masjid Negara grow large and significant and beautiful enough to serve as a must-go Friday / Hari Raya prayer place for most VVIP's, the ruler, or any presidents (eg: Barrack Obama) that enters Malaysia. Features that not to be missed includes the biggest 'paper' umbrella dome, the welcoming blue fountain, the tallest structure back then (the Masjid Negara minaret) in Kuala Lumpur, the 14 lamps surrounding the main prayer halls that reflects 14 states in Malaysia ruled by Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and lead by the Prime Minister, the Morroccan Al-Hambra style of the Mihrab (qibla) of Masjid Negara with perfect tiles installation on it, middle-eastern wall motives, and the 7 tombs under Makam Pahlawan's roof, reflecting 7 layers of sky and 7 layers of earth below.
