These photos spreading online showing fleet of BMWs luxury cars parked somewhere in Langkawi, with POLIS (translate: Police) sticker on hood, Malaysia Royal Police (PDRM) insignia on the door side and usual police blue-red light bars on top of these cars.
Yes Malaysia got BMW as police cars this time, but really? the rumor is only half true though. To be exact, BMW Group Malaysia is the proud automotive partner this year 2017 Le Tour de Langkawi, and they are sending those BMWs as part of 200 vehicles being prepared for the cycling event. After the event, these PDRM BMW Police cars will be used for other events around Malaysia, although it is unsure whether these BMW Police cars will retain as it is as PDRM special luxury event cars or else. Cool, really cool.
