Kedah currently (March 2017) experiencing North Sakura spring season, when around 300 flowering tecoma trees or scientifically known as Tabebuia Rosea bloom the many city streets mostly along Langgar Road and Kuala Kedah Road in Alor Setar.
Tecoma trees here was introduced from South American region, being planted all around Kedah for 15 years already, and each trees took around three to five years before able to bloom with beautiful white and pink tissue paper flowers.
City streets turns like one in Japan or Korea, tecoma flowers so beautiful attracting photographers and travelers to wander around those landscape. However, these sakura trees only able to retain the flowers for just two weeks each time, twice a year, till rain or high wind washes those flowers to its fall.
