Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building

The beautiful building north bank of Sarawak river, in between Astana and Fort Margherita this is the very building suit the Yang Di-Pertua governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Abdul Taib Mahmud rule Sarawak in this Sarawak State Legislative Assembly building.


Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building opens since July 27, 2009, is a nine-storey complex where almost all assemblymen from every part of Sarawak meet and preside over political debates and passing laws for the well being of Sarawak.

This umbrella roof building is distinctively one of the most beautiful building in Southeast Asia. Depiction of Sarawak's struggle in gaining independence and as multi-racial society. Reinforced by nine gigantic pillars and arches, it symbolize the sovereignty and people's power of all races in Sarawak.
